I recently realized something…it’s freeing to admit the negativities in our lives. To admit we’ve messed up a lot or have never really made the best decisions. It has a freedom to it, an honesty. When I read this quote it helped me to cry and let go of the illusion I was carrying of always being perfect or having certain emotions or having to be a certain way, all those standards that weigh heavy over time, all of which I fell short. It helped me to admit that I am not perfect and except that I have made many mistakes that others may have not which puts me where I am at today was very freeing. I was very thankful to come across this honest quote and reflect on it. For him to so vulnerably admit and share this helped me change my perspective therefore it has changed my life. I hope it touches someone else’s heart too.
